A Kawasaki C-2 aircraft assigned to 402nd Tactical Airlift Squadron of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, prepares to taxi as a U.S. Marine Corps, KC-130J Hercules, assigned to the Marine Aerial Refueled Transport Squadron 152, takes off for a training sortie at Rosecrans Air National Guard Base, December 10, 2025. The two aircrews are attending the Advanced Airlift Tactics Training Center’s, Advanced Tactics Aircrew Course which allows aircrews to learn and employ defensive tactics in a training environment. This is the first time a C-2 has trained at the AATTC. Since 1983 the AATTC has provided advanced tactical training to airlift aircrews from the Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve Command, Air Mobility Command, U.S. Marine Corps and 17 allied nations.
