A U.S. Navy landing craft, air cushion assigned to Assault Craft Unit 5, Naval Beach Group 1, lands at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, following expeditionary aviation node operations on San Clemente Island during exercise Steel Knight 25, Dec. 13, 2025. The SCI node enabled 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing to sustain distributed aviation operations by extending aviation reach and enabling rapid, repeatable, forward sustainment across multiple distributed locations.
