The Marine Barracks ground platoon quits wiping down the rain-soaked VIP seating section following another patch of rain that dumped an inch of rain over a period of an hour and cancelled the Marine Corps’ premiere Sunset Parade May 28. The Marines will regroup and return to the Iwo Jima Memorial June 4 for its next Arlington parade. The Marine Corps Silent Drill Team and The United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, “The Commandant’s Own,” are featured at every parade from June through August. June and July parades begin at 7 p.m., while August parades have a 6 p.m. starting time.
