A CH-53 Sea Stallion gunner from HMH 772 leaves a trail of smoke, clips and expended cartridges from a .50 Cal machine gun mounted on its tailgate while participating in day and night aerial fire on range 56C Dec. 12 at U.S. Army Support Activity - Fort Dix. An AH-1 Cobra and UH-1 Huey gunship joined in with the CH-53, engaging targets with both 2.75-inch rockets and .50 Cal machine guns.
