Paratroopers assigned to the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, and allied nations conducted a multinational holiday airborne operation at Juliet Drop Zone in Italy on Dec. 11, 2025. The operation involved 448 jumpers, including 97 paratroopers from Hungary, Spain, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands, enhancing interoperability and strengthening bonds within the international airborne community.
The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army’s Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility. Forward deployed across Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains with NATO allies and partners to strengthen interoperability and readiness.
