U.S. Navy aviation structural mechanic 2nd class Innocent Ezeji, with Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 102, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, works on a F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft, assigned to VFA-102, CVW-5 at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Dec. 3, 2025. CVW-5 aircraft and personnel return from being forward-deployed on the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN-73) which provided air superiority and all-weather offensive air-to-surface attack capabilities, to maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific.
