NAVAL AIR FACILITY ATSUGI, Japan (Dec. 9, 2025) - Airmen assigned to the 513th Expeditionary RED HORSE Squadron and Sailors assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Four, pose for a group photo during a Ground Breaking ceremony onboard Naval Air Facility (NAF) Atsugi. The 513th Expeditionary RED HORSE Squadron provides heavy construction capability to build infrastructure and advance Indo-Pacific ‘Set the Theater’ initiatives. This Ground Breaking ceremony marks the start of construction for three K-Span buildings that will provide covered storage for prepositioned warfighting material. NAF Atsugi supports the combat readiness of Commander, Fleet Air Western Pacific, Commander, Carrier Air Wing FIVE (CVW) 5, Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 51 and 23 other tenant commands, and provides logistic support, coordination, and services to units assigned to the Western Pacific.
