U.S. Marine Corps Col. Christina F. Zimmerman , the commanding officer of Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group (1st MLG), interacts with Marines with 1st Combat Engineer Battalion (1st CEB), 1st Marine Division, and Combat Logistics Battalion 15 (CLB 15), Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st MLG, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), during a tour of the southern border barrier in Yuma, Ariz., Dec. 5, 2025. Zimmerman visited the Marines operating in the Yuma sector of the southern border to gain enhanced situational awareness of CLB 15’s and 1st CEB’s operational posture. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
