U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Douglas Galicia Jr, a rifleman with 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines forward deployed in the Indo-Pacific under 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division as part of the Unit Deployment Program, conducts a defensive patrol during Exercise Shinka 25 on Combined Arms Training Center Camp Fuji, Japan, Oct. 28, 2025. Shinka 25 provides these Marines the opportunity to execute company defensive operations against a peer-level adversary force with a detailed after-action analysis to refine Stand-in Force tactics.
