A U.S. Marine Corps F-35C Lightning II aircraft assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 311, Marine Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, lands at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in support of exercise Steel Knight 25, California, Dec. 10, 2025. The aircraft’s return to station followed successful forward arming and refueling point operations with the node at Victorville, California, reinforcing the wing's ability to extend operational reach through expeditionary fueling and arming. Steel Knight is an annual exercise that strengthens the Navy-Marine Corps team's ability to respond forward, integrate across domains, and sustain Marine Air-Ground Task Force readiness.
