U.S. Air Force B-2 Spirit stealth bombers and KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft are maintained on the flightline during a combat deployment at Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory, April 16, 2025. Six B-2s and approximately 250 personnel deployed from Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri as the 393d Expeditionary Bomb Squadron to conduct operations. The KC-135s assigned to the 92nd Air Refueling Wing from Fairchild AFB, Washington supported the B-2s.The deployment was the largest deployment of B-2s in its history demonstrating U.S. global strike capabilities anytime, anywhere.
