    Aviation Structural Mechanic 2nd Class Charles Simmer, assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 1, attaches a rope to a blade of a MH-60R Seahawk helicopter, attached to VX-1, during a damper inspection at Naval Air Station (NAS) Patuxent River, Maryland, Dec. 9, 2025. VX-1 is based at NAS Patuxent River and is a subordinate command of Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic.
