LIHUE, Hawaii (Dec. 5, 2025) Pacific Missile Range Facility, Barking Sands (PMRF), Sailors display a festively decorated High Speed Maneuverable Target during Kauai's annual parade Lights on Rice. The community event garners an annual attendance of approximately 10,000 people from all ends of the Island. Defense spending infuses roughly $170 million annually into Kaua`i’s economy and employs more than 900 residents from the local community, alongside approximately 80 active duty military personnel, making it Kaua`i’s third largest employer and the number one employer for technical careers.
