The 305th Rescue Squadron got certified in vertical replenishment by the U.S. Navy on the Dock Landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52) during Exercise Steel Knight 25 off the coast of California, Dec. 8, 2025. Vertical replenishment is a method the U.S. Navy uses to replenish supplies on ships while underway. The 305th Rescue Squadron is the first U.S. Air Force unit to acquire this certification. Exercise Steel Knight is a joint exercise that strengthens interoperability, refines combat readiness and enhances seamless coordination across the battle space. (Courtesy photo)
