A new $250,000 multi-functional excavator arrived at Devens Reserve Forces Training Area Nov. 18 to replace one being leased for the past three years, which is expected to save $300,000 over the next five years and enables staff to trim brush, move debris, dig trenches and shape South Post for training and safety needs.
