DEERFIELD, Ill. (December 5, 2025) -- Surface Warfare Engineering School Command (SWESC) Great Lakes Commanding Officer, Cmdr. Quentin Cooper, shares the command's accomplishments of the year to staff and family during the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Department-hosted 2025 '90s-themed command holiday party, Dec. 5, in Deerfield, Ill. The event included a cocktail hour, dinner, games, dancing, and raffle prizes. SWESC is responsible for providing technical training to every surface Navy engineer, quartermaster, boatswain and deck seaman; preparing each Sailor to perform on U.S. Navy ships operating around the globe.
