Marine Corps Lt. Gen. John H. Miller is laid to rest at Aggie Field of Honor Memorial Cemetery, College Station, Texas, Dec. 5, 2025. Miller was a highly decorated Marine who served for nearly four decades in the United States Marine Corps. He began his career in 1943 by enlisting in the Marine Corps Reserve while he was a student at Texas A&M University. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1949 and retired as a lieutenant general, serving in three separate wars. He served valiantly, earning a Navy Distinguished Service Medal alongside multiple Legion of Merits, Bronze Star Medals and Purple Hearts throughout his illustrious career.
