U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Andrew Homon, boatswains mate assigned to Coast Guard Station Erie, watches from a Response Boat-Small while guiding a tall ship as it sails Lake Erie en route to the tall ships festival in Erie, Pennsylvania, Aug. 21, 2025. Homon and the others in the small boat crew established safety zones throughout the waterways surrounding the event and kept watch on the water as Sector Eastern Great Lakes Enforcement Division Team conducted Boarding Officer Certified Ashore patrols to keep watch over the marina and harbor from the shoreside.
