    U.S. Marines with 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, perform the passing of “Old Glory” during a retirement ceremony at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Nov. 25, 2025. The passing of “Old Glory” is a ceremonial tradition that symbolizes respect and honor for what the flag represents. The ceremony recognized Chief Warrant Officer 2 Donald Mendiola, a strategic electromagnetic spectrum officer with 3rd MLR, for his service, leadership and dedication over 21 years in the Marine Corps.
