U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Brandon Skinfield, a bulk fuel specialist with 1st Combat Engineer Battalion (1st CEB), 1st Marine Division, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), practices welding techniques during training facilitated by Marines from Combat Logistics Battalion 15 (CLB 15), Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, assigned to JTF-SB, in Yuma, Ariz., Nov. 21, 2025. CLB 15 provided critical pre-deployment training to Marines with 1st CEB, ensuring sustained engineering capability and operational readiness in preparation for their upcoming transfer of authority. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
