U.S. Air Force Col. Christopher Robinson, 81st Training Wing commander, presents a certificate to Airman 1st Class Christian Garnica-Serrano, 81st Surgical Operations Squadron surgical technician, during the Warrior of the Week presentation at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, Nov. 19, 2025. As an obstetrician-gynecologist surgical support technician, he assisted with Keesler's first minimally invasive hysterectomy and trained 10 technicians. Garnica-Serrano conducted hands-on trauma instrument training for 24 technicians, emphasizing wartime readiness. He also mentored four phase II students, teaching 20 procedures and evaluating 15 core tasks, achieving 100% on-time graduation and personnel deployment across 16 installations.
