U.S. Marines assigned to the Marine Innovation Unit listen to remarks from Brig. Gen. David K. Winnacker, commanding general, and Sergeant Major Russell D. Boley, command senior enlisted leader, Force Headquarters Group, Marine Forces Reserve, during a town hall meeting in White Plains, New York, Nov. 20, 2025. Established in 2022, the Marine Innovation Unit leverages the talent of the Marine Corps Reserve to accelerate the adoption of advanced capabilities, transform Naval Service capacity for technology employment, and retain and invest in Total Force human capital.
