Hailey Ramos, human factors engineer, wears a motion capture headset and participates in an experiment to test sound localization in the Spatial Hearing Anechoic Research Chamber (SHARC) Lab at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, Sept. 11, 2025. SHARC, an anechoic chamber housing a 3-meter-diameter multi-loudspeaker array with 36 Orb Audio speakers and over 1,000 LEDs for visual scene generation, was used to create complex acoustic environments for studying speech perception, spatial hearing, and auditory device evaluation.
