251127-N-MK109-1002 GREAT LAKES, Ill. (Nov. 27, 2025) Capt. Kenneth Froberg, commanding officer, Recruit Training Command (RTC), addresses recruits participating in the Adopt-Sailor program for Thanksgiving onboard RTC. Local organizations hosted 800 recruits from nine divisions off-base to celebrate the holiday. Training at RTC is approximately nine weeks, and all enlistees in the U.S. Navy begin their careers at the command. More than 40,000 recruits train annually at the Navy's only boot camp.
