Vicenza community members, soldiers and family members gathered Nov. 26, 2025 at Vicenza High School, Italy, the Italian Base Commander for the U.S. installations in Vicenza change command ceremony, of incoming Col. Alessandro Nigri and outgoing Col. Michele Amendolagine, during change of command ceremony. Col. Michele Amendolagine served as the Italian Base Commander for the U.S. Installations in Vicenza, Italy, from February 2021 to November 2025. During his almost four years as the base commander, his expertise and knowledge of working with national and local authorities aided United States military leaders and members of the Vicenza Military Community.
