Robertas Kaunas, Lithuanian Minister of National Defense of Lithuania, presents Matthew Whitaker, U.S. Ambassador to NATO, an award during the new barracks ribbon cutting ceremony, Nov. 26, 2025, Pabrade Training Area. These upgrades are part of a long-term plan to strengthen the base, which already includes Camp Herkus, which was inaugurated in 2021.
