Navy Misawa sailors provide day of fun for tsunami-ravaged community

Aviation Ordnanceman 2nd Class Alonso Thomas, originally from St. Augustine, Fla., high-fives some young residents of Taro, Japan, May 25, 2013. Thomas, along with sailors from Naval Air Facility Misawa and its tenant and deployed commands, took part in a community relations project in Taro, whose residents are still displaced from the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and subsequent tsunami. The sailors traveled to Taro to conduct an American-style barbecue and sports day for the displaced residents. (U.S. Navy photo by Senior Chief Mass Communication Specialist Daniel Sanford/Released)
