A group of 8th Security Forces Squadron defenders sit in a convoy during a joint exercise at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, Oct. 17, 2025. During the exercise, the 8th SFS integrated with the ROK army’s 106th Brigade and the ROK air force’s 38th Military Police Squadron to strengthen their joint ability to defend Kunsan Air Base, the city of Gunsan and the vital infrastructure and assets located there. This is the first time in two years that Kunsan has exercised with the ROK army and the first time the ROK army has activated its reserve units to provide support.
