U.S. Coast Guard Aviation Survival Technicians (ASTs) from the Advanced Helicopter Rescue Swimmer School conduct joint surf rescue training with U.S. Air Force Pararescue Jumpers (PJs) at Fort Stevens State Park, Oregon, Nov. 19, 2025. Air Force helicopter crews worked alongside Coast Guard rescue swimmers and rescue watercraft operators to execute surface-swimmer deployments, surf-zone recoveries, and multi-agency interoperability drills in challenging wave conditions. The training enhanced joint rescue readiness for high-risk maritime environments.
