The crew of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Oak set out on a scenario-based interdiction exercise with partner nations Thursday. The four-hour evolution focused on communication between the partner nation’s crews, the Regional Security System Aircraft Wing, and a combined operations center. Tradewinds 2013 is a joint, combined exercise conducted in conjunction with partner nations to enhance the collective abilities of defense forces and constabularies to counter transnational organized crime and to conduct humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
