Lance Cpls. Bennett M. Russ, right, and Robert T. Davis, fire an M240B medium machine gun during a field training exercise May 15 at the Range 10 complex at Camp Schwab. During the exercise, the company conducted live-fire training, improvised explosive device detection training, convoy movements and forward operating base demilitarization to prepare for an upcoming deployment to Afghanistan. Russ is a combat engineer with Company F, 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Davis is a motor transport operator with the company.
