Gregory Gagnon returns a salute to Guardians and Airmen assigned to United States Space Force Combat Forces Command during a redesignation ceremony at Peterson Space Force Base, Colo., Nov. 3, 2025. Gagnon, who promoted earlier in the day, assumed command of the newly-named CFC. Space Operations Command was redesignated as CFC to align the command’s name with its core roles and functions as part of the service’s evolution as a warfighting service.
