Col. James Cheney, U.S. Army Japan deputy commander, Lt. Col. Alexis Jackson, commander of the 836th Transportation Battalion, and Lt. Col. Brenden B. Burson, commander of the 765th Transportation Terminal Battalion, welcomed Minoru Kihara, a member of Japan’s House of Representatives and former defense minister, during a tour of Yokohama North Dock, Sept, 30.
Kihara received briefings on the facilities, vessels and logistics operations of the U.S. Army at Yokohama North Dock, and reaffirmed the importance and strength of the Japan-U.S. alliance.
