A U.S. Air Force Home Station Medical Response (HSMR) team assigned to the 673d Medical Group carries simulated injured personnel during hands-on emergency medical training on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Sept. 26, 2025. HSMR teams are trained to handle emergencies on base by transporting injured personnel whilst providing medical assistance. The exercise required teams to offload and onload injured personnel from an ambulance bus while providing critical care administration. Readiness among teams is essential to emergency medical situations to allow quicker recovery of injured personnel. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman Keola Vischi)
