U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class John Kiefer, 374th Logistics Readiness Squadron combat mobility technician, awaits marshal instruction from loadmasters while loading a Caterpillar 10K All-Terrain Forklift onto a C-130J Super Hercules assigned to 36th Airlift Squadron in preparation of foreign disaster relief operations at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Nov. 10, 2025. At the request of the Government of the Philippines, the U.S. military is working alongside the Armed Forces of the Philippines to provide foreign disaster relief support to communities affected by consecutive Typhoons Kalmaegi (Tino) and Fung-Wong (Uwan), which caused extensive damage and tragic loss of life.
