Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, Detachment Antarctica, conducted hands-on training assembling a Mabey Johnson Bridge (MJB) on a ramp as part of their preparation for their upcoming deployment to Antarctica. Held in support of Operation Deep Freeze, the exercise strengthened the team’s technical proficiency and teamwork while reinforcing bridge assembly procedures essential to constructing the permanent barge at McMurdo Station. This training ensures the safe and efficient movement of vital supplies for the U.S. Antarctic Program.
