U.S. Marines and Sailors receive CBRN equipment familiarization training ahead of military activities

U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman Seaman Joseph Dominguez, left, and Hospital Corpsman Seaman Daniel Casanova, both with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, practice putting on a M50 gas mask during a chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear training as part of Exercise Freezing Winds 2025 in Dragsvik, Finland, Oct. 30, 2025. The CBRN response squad provided collective training to CLB-6 in order to support the commander’s efforts in mitigating the effects of a CBRN incident. Freezing Winds is conducted to increase interoperability between Marines, Finland, and NATO Allies by executing combined amphibious operations in and around the Baltic Sea littorals, and is part of a regularly occurring series of exercises in northern Europe that demonstrates the capability to deploy and train Marines and Sailors in support of the NATO Alliance. Dominguez is a native of Puerto Rico. Casanova is a native of Ohio. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Makayla Elizalde)
