Bushey, talks about his time as a MCPON during a Best of the Mess presentation to Sailors assigned to Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), Oct. 28, 2025. The Best of the Mess is an annual competition between U.S. Navy command messes and is hosted by the Chief Petty Officer Scholarship Fund, a publicly supported charity organization that generates and distributes funds to provide educational opportunities to qualified families of chief petty officers.
