U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Company-Alpha, Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, prepare to hoist a Joint Light Tactical Vehicle to a U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Rein.), during a helicopter support team exercise, at Landing Zone Falcon, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 22, 2025. The Marines conducted HST operations to maintain and improve their aerial transportation skills in rural training situations. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force, ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
