Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs) and Combat Controllers assigned to the 66th Weapons Squadron, prepare for a C-130J Super Hercules to land during a U.S. Air Force Weapons School mission at Red Devil Landing Zone, Colorado, Oct. 3, 2025. As part of the mission, the squadron established a forward operating base in austere terrain, training JTACs in advanced tactics, techniques and procedures for controlling close air support and offensive air operations from a forward position. Their coordination enables precise air-ground integration, ensuring aircraft can operate safely and effectively in contested environments. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Jennifer Nesbitt)
