Commander Stacey Swindells deployed with the USNS Comfort on Continuing Promise 2025 and served as the ship’s Senior Nurse of the Day. She managed the workflow of patients coming onto the ship for surgery and other medical procedures.
One of her most memorable moments during the deployment was coloring with children in Panama as they waited to see a medical provider.
Upon her return to Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point, Swindells serves as the facility’s Director for Healthcare Business. In this role, she leads a team that aids patients with their referrals and insurance needs while also providing clinic leadership insights into patient care and enrollment trends.
