U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Antonio Mendieta, a fixed-wing aircraft airframes mechanic with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 352, Marine Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, reunites with family and friends during a homecoming at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, California, Oct. 8, 2025. The Marines and Sailors returned following a deployment to Djibouti, where they supported the Aviation Combat Element of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force–Crisis Response–Africa while attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 161, MAG-16, 3rd MAW.
