U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 56th Fighter Wing prepare an F-35A Lightning II jet for a sortie by loading missiles during a Phase 2 Aircraft Generation exercise, Oct. 3, 2025, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. The training pushed Airmen to quickly ready their aircraft for same-day missions with live munitions, exactly what they would do in a deployed environment. This experience is key to building their combat-ready skills and preparing them for the demands of units operating outside the U.S. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Belinda Guachun-Chichay)
