A narrow dirt trail winds through a deciduous and mixed forest, descending into a shallow gully or erosion channel. A bundle of sticks has been placed across the trail, possibly as a rudimentary water bar or erosion control measure. The forest floor is covered with fallen brown leaves, and the trees show fresh green spring foliage.

A new ruck march and fitness trail that is approximately 5 km in length has been created in the Boeblingen Local Training Area. The trail takes a rough terrain route mostly through heavily wooded terrain, over streams and through some open areas with steep hills to negotiate. The trail is will defined by many months of labor and marked with several signs. (U.S. Army photo by Martin Greeson/Released)
