On May 8th, 2025, the USNMR Col. Jared D. Thompson, stood alongside other national military representatives, local leaders, and the Mayor of Mons to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the End of WWII in Europe. Through a wreath-laying ceremony, Col. Thompson paid tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who served valiantly during the war and fought to secure freedom for future generations.
