This custom water vessel, designed by Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division engineer Anindita Mukherjee, incorporates a skyline view of the David Taylor Model Basin and was produced using Laser Powder Bed Fusion technology. The vessel will be permanently displayed at the University of Michigan’s new hydrodynamics laboratory as part of a Mixing of Waters ceremony honoring decades of maritime research and innovation.
