Jonathan LeGault, acquisition manager, completes a visual search experiment using a night vision goggle (NVG) test bed in the NVG Lab of the Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL) 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, Sept. 9, 2025. The experiment assessed perceptual and cognitive performance based on speed and accuracy of target detection over time allowing 711 HPW researchers to assess how time on task and perceptual fatigue impact human performance in addition to system performance verification.
