From left, U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Ethan Herlica, 378th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron electrical systems journeyman, and U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Alexander Sallee, 378th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron pavements and equipment craftsman, operate a dynamic core penetrometer during an expeditionary airfield damage repair exercise within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, July 16, 2025. The DCP is used during one of the last steps of the E-ADR process to determine the integrity of the ground, ensuring the repaired airfield meets the standard requirements to support various airframes. This exercise highlighted seamless integration between U.S. and Royal Saudi Air Force service members, as both nations demonstrated their E-ADR capabilities in support of enduring regional stability.
