U.S. Marine Col. Jenny Colegate, commanding officer of Marine Corps Base Quantico and guest of honor, shares some opening words to participants and their families at Marine Corps Community Service’s Future Marine Bootcamp on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, Sept. 23, 2025. This “boot camp” is designed to give school-aged children a glimpse of life as an enlisted Marine while simultaneously emphasizing the importance of community.
