The Capital City Visitation Program, an initiative offered free of charge by the U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart Public Affairs Office, helps community members better understand the German political system.
The latest program took place Sept. 22, 2025. Participants toured the Staatsoper Stuttgart (Stuttgart Opera House) with press officer Christoph Kolossa. They then visited the nearby parliament building, where Ms. Luisa Ertle guided them through Germany’s political system.
The day concluded with a Q&A session featuring Stuttgart Deputy Mayor for Social Affairs, Health and Integration Dr. Alexandra Sußman.
The group is pictured at the Staatsoper Stuttgart as press officer Christoph Kolossa shares details about the Stuttgart Opera House.
The program not only offers engaging tours of Stuttgart landmarks, but also enhances participants’ understanding of the country they live in.
